Dan Scarpa is a primarily-acoustic folk musician and former MIDI karaoke singer from Jefferson Township, New Jersey. He began his musical career in 2001 at the age of 14, making recordings of himself singing covers and parodies over MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) files. In 2005, he began playing acoustic guitar and made his live solo debut at the Grist Mill Cafe in Andover, NJ that summer. Since early 2007, he has been a regular in the Bergen County coffeehouse scene.
