DJ Mike Llama

The Nullsoft corporate mascot is Mike the Llama (also known as DJ Mike Llama). The concept originated in a sound clip released with all Winamp versions which states: "Winamp, it really whips the llama's ass!" The popularity of the clip prompted Nullsoft to adopt Mike as their mascot.The clip was recorded by J.J. McKay in 1997. The track "Llama Whippin' Intro" is played when Winamp is first installed onto a computer. The track was changed sometime in version 5.5; the word "ass" was replaced with a loud bleating.
