Crypticus

Crypticus was formed by guitarist/vocalist Patrick Bruss in the winter of 1996 as crude & barbaric Death/Grind. This period yielded the "Enter the Zombie" & "The Riddle of Blood & Steel" demos, both recorded on home stereo equipment. Summer of 2000 saw the release of the "Ghost Infected Flesh" tape in extremely limited quantity. In 2002 the "Unholy Secrecies" demo was released, which saw the band's sound becoming influenced by bands like Dismember & Necrony.

Several songs from those sessions were eventually re-recorded for the debut album "Dedicated to the Impure" which was released by Razorback Records in 2005. The label went on to unleash the follow-up "They Called Me Mad" in 2008. Brynjar Helgetun, from the Norwegian band LIKLUKT joined as permanent drummer in 2010 & the duo released the 4 song EP "The Rites of Infestation" as a free download.
