Cold Yard is pop / rock / alternative band based in NY that is the brainchild of composer / producers David Gale and Ken Pomarico and released by their indie label, Feral Music. Their influences are (but not limited to) Garbage, Squeeze, Bjork, Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, XTC, Midnight Oil, Radiohead, etc. Their debut CD, “Weathering The Storm” will be available on I-Tunes, Amazon, etc. this summer. Their featured song, “Slapped Me In My Face” is a brooding and dynamic track about one man isolated and obsessed with a distant memory. Cold Yard began as a studio project in which David played Drums, programming, etc and Ken filled in with the other instruments including lead vocal. “We were looking to create something original and powerful without being too calculating about who our ‘market’ would be,” We told industry people at a recent networking party in Manhattan.
