1) Coin was formed in 2001, in Kavala (Greece).
The 4 first years were activated there with rehearsals and live appearances. In 2005, they released their debut album, called “Head or Tales”, for Side 2 (Studio 2 records) and did a promo tour in selected Greek cities. Their second album, called “Urban Subculture”, was released in the beginning of 2007. It’s an exclusive independent work, in collaboration with “Play Our Music”, who’s responsible for the distribution.
Their third album "POPSTITUDE" was released in May 2009. Coin members: Ioannis Karakostas: Vocals, Teo Theodoridis : Guitars, George Papathimiopoulos: Bass, George Terzis: Additional Stage Drums, Yannis Sarantakos : Additional Stage Guitars 2) Originally formed in 1995, they played their first show at a dance for special education students. In 2004 Self-satisfied put out their first record (goat piss into gasoline), which was recorded by Whirlwind Heat and mainly consists of 4-track recordings and bootlegs from their live shows, and telephone conversations. Their live shows have gained them a small cult following that occasionally sees them banned from venues, as they employ vacuum cleaners, children's play tents, ceiling fans and fish bowls as instruments. Fiercely local, having only played outside of Grand Rapids on two occasions, more then thirty people from the Grand Rapids area have made appearances in the group.
The core three members being chad on guitar, dennis on bass, and dan on drums. 3) Blip-blop from Tucson, Arizon. 4) Improv/free jazz from Belgium: Cel Overberghe (elektrische piano, tenor sax); Kris Nelissen (akoestische bas); Ivo Van der Borght (percussie) & Paul Vlaminck (tenor sax) 5) Historie kapely Coin se začala psát v roce 2007, kdy spolu začali zkoušet bývalí členové skupiny Big Ole Pile Martin Velička (basová kytara), Aleš Vrba (bicí) a Martin Bezecný (kytara, dříve také bicí v falší frýdecko-místecké formaci King Pao). Současnou sestavu zkompletoval na počátku roku 2008 zpěvák Petr Kahánek z dnes už neexistujících The Witness. Čtveřice věnovala téměř rok zkoušení a skládání vlastního repertoáru.
