Cheerful Diligence

Cheerful Diligence is a country-western/bluegrass band comprised of 5 young musicians from Obninsk, Russia. They took part in the biggest bluegrass festival in Europe (EWOB-99: European World of Bluegrass), in May of 1999 which was held in Holland. In June 2000 they took part in the Sweden-Lida Country Festival and continued on tour in Sweden. They have continued to take part in the Lida festival every year. In 2002 they came to America for the first time. Along with giving concerts at Dollywood, they appeared on TV and radio in Tennessee.

Along with giving concerts at Dollywood, they appeared on TV and radio in Tennessee. From there they played the famous MerlFest country and bluegrass festival in North Carolina. During the summer of 2003 they traveled to prestigious festivals in Sweden and Finland, and in the fall gave concerts in several Russian cities.
