After numerous forays into surf and industrial rock (Surfdusters/Fridge Magnets/Quonset), it was the death of his long time idol and mentor John Fahey that convinced RC to once again pick up the acoustic guitar..."I really don't do things any differently than I did in the Ragtime Ralph days" says RC. "My goal now as then is to add to the musical foundations that Fahey created on his early Fonotone, Takoma, Riverboat and Vanguard releases...it's not any more complicated than that!".
