Blade Icewood (Darnell Quincy Lyndsey 1977-2005), was a Detroit-based rap artist, from the 7 Mile Rd area of Detroit. He was slain in gang-related violence on April 19, 2005. Blade Icewood, also known as "The Great Lakes Ruler", was a member of the Detroit based rap group Street Lord'z. In 2005, Blade formed Icewood Enertainment. He signed his first artists Candi Cane, Balee, and Cash Out, and Denzell {my lil 7 mile nigga} who were previously with Dirty Glove Entertainment. His label, Icewood Entertainment, was taken over by close family members.
