Black Radio
Black Radio
Hailing from Essex, England BLACK RADIO was formed in late 2005 by Mike Jones, Allan Gunby and Jay Lloyd. Originally conceived as a side project, the disbanding of Al and Mike's previous band, political punk rockers THE FILAMENTS made BLACK RADIO a top priority. Jay's move to playing bass marks a departure from his stint as the lungs and vocal chords of KILL THE LIGHTS. With a healthy addiction to whiskey nights and speed rock there was only one route the band could ever take; TURBOCHARGED PUNK ROCK.

With a nod to the almighty MOTORHEAD and Swedish Hemiheads PUFFBALL when BLACK RADIO fire up it's a full throttle decibel attack to the finish. After a few rehearsals BLACK RADIO headed into NO STUDIOS to record their self released debut E.P 'No Frills, No Skills, Stripped Down & Faster Thank Your V8' with Jon 'The Hat' Hannon.
