Black Lungs

Black Lungs is a side project of Alexisonfire guitarist, Wade MacNeil. Wade is the lead singer of this band, reminiscent of his first punk rock band Plan 9. The band has at some point included George Pettit of Alexisonfire on bass, and Jordan "Ratbeard" Hastings and Sean McNabb, formerly of Jersey and now in The Creepshow. Recently Wade has started playing his own acoustic set alongside Dallas Green.

Earlier, the band consisted of Wade and Sammi Bogdanski on piano, however the current lineup of Black Lungs consists of Wade backed up by Pat Pengelly, formerly of Bedouin Soundclash, on drums and Chris Steele, of Alexisonfire, on bass. 'Send Flowers', his first studio album, was released on May 20, 2008 on Dine Alone records. Later he released 'Pure Trash and Blue Grass', recorded with Ian Romano of Attack in Black at his home studio.
