Bird and Bear (not to be confused St John's, Newfoundland band Bird & Bear) were called Next Muffin until someone pointed out that it was a silly name. Robin Mitchell and Tom Buckle lived in Penryn, Cornwall, where they were students. They played music which mixed folk, blues, country and rock’n’roll, influenced by such artists as The Martin Harley Band, Calexico, Paul Curreri and Devon Sproule. http://birdandbear.muxtape.com
