Bete Gouveia (born on 1958 in São Paulo, Jardin America, São Paulo, Brazil), known simply as Bete, is a recording artist, entrepreneur and occasional actress. Throughout her career, often referred to as The Queen of Pop, many of her songs have hit number one on the record charts, including Eu Sou Ryca, Pobreza Pega, Nem Com Meus Calmantes, Safadeza Oculta, Não Não Não Foi, Você é Pior do Que Eu Pensava, Daquela Empregada (Pobre Diava) and E.T. (Futuristic Lover).
