The band has mentioned on their website, in particular, Beherit, Hellhammer, Mayhem and Venom, and has also covered an Agnostic Front song ("New York Police State"). Many of the early tracks focused around a central character, referred to as the "satanic nuclear goat." However, as most recently themes have varied enough to include lycanthropy, the occult and general violence. According to the band's Myspace, these songs were recorded, "quite literally on the moon," for the purposes of "[absorbing] the essence of the black sun as it radiates outwards from the Earth's core." This is a reference to an esoteric occult belief.
