Ballyrag sprang from the fertile asphalt of Venice California (http://www.last.fm/group/Venice%2C+CA). It blends old school jazz with modern pop rock sensibilities, an element of funk, a cut of Caribbean, and a slice of salsa, concocting a rich melodic feast with deeply flavored lyrics. Ballyrag is at home playing to adoring crowds on the Venice Boardwalk and the 3rd Street Promenade in between more straight-laced club gigs. Frontman Raif Pomeroy passed away July 22, 2007.
