Bakawol Rockers
The Bakawol Rockers are from Nairobi, Kenya. In early 2007 they recorded a week long ad-hoc session with producer Gearz K. that became the album "Yes Mystic" released in 2008 by Bin Khalid Sonic Pollution.
The songs are a hybrid of jazz, reggae and East African styles. The songs are sung in Luhya, Kikuyu and Swahili in a unique poetic style.
The ensemble represents a small composition of the amorphous Bakawola Music Foundation.
