BLEEDBEFORETHESKIES is a hardcore/screamo/metalcore band consisting of vocalist Mikey Yankovich, guitarist Jake Bratrude, guitarist/bassist Matt Yankovich, and guitarist Tommy Poppa. Formed in early 2008 by guitarist/vocalist David Wu, guitarist Tommy Poppa, drummer Tyler Salinas, and vocalist James McCrory in Danville, CA, the band recorded a three song demo at Lightning Studios in Concord, CA with engineer Jon Leydon, who also provided vocals.

After playing shows through 2008 and into 2009, BBTS went and recorded a self-titled EP with Sam Pura of The Panda Studios (Heavy Heavy Low Low, I Shot the Sheriff). After the departure of founding guitarist Wu, and drummer Salinas, the band announced it's breakup in early 2010, however, they recently reunited in September of 2010.
