Average Analysis

Average Analysis was formed in 1991 as America was on the brink of war, Operation Desert Storm. The group began as a loose collective with a collegiate protest song called “Blood for Oil.” Then someone suggested writing a love song. Then more songs and periodic informal jam sessions followed. Maybe in the early days there was a belief that all this might “lead to something.” But as the band got older and slipped into real jobs, it became more of a sideline, a hobby to stay sane.

Maybe in the early days there was a belief that all this might “lead to something.” But as the band got older and slipped into real jobs, it became more of a sideline, a hobby to stay sane. Members came and went, moved away, succumbed to demons, the stuff that happens to college friends in the ensuing decades. Then the age of digital music made it easier than ever for basement bards and garage guitar gods to make music.

Thus awakened a dormant beast. In 2008, Average Analysis came back in force. The current lineup is Nick Freeman on guitars, etc., Daryl Dirham on vocals and Cassie O. on percussion.
