Autopilots
Autopilots
Autopilots are a band from Monmouth, South Wales, in the UK. Their brash, yet incredibly enjoyable and addictive, style of indie rock 'n' roll has led to a rapid growth in the area - with gigs all around the country providing a larger blanket coverage. The band consists of Steve (Vocals and Guitar), Rich (Guitar and occassional backing noises), Jord (Bass and other Noises) and Tom (Drums). They were previously known as 'It Wore Him Down', but due to myspace deleting their page, they needed a re-vamp.

"It Wore Him Down on some occasions had been described as "The least memorable name for a band ever" and "A poor group name". Some would struggle with the name when it was told to them: "Sorry i didn't catch that, what wore him down? you'll have to say that again".
It could have been any number of things which Wore Him (which could also have been any number of people) Down. Autopilots seemed like a more user friendly name and suited the band as soon as it was uttered." - from the bands website. Since being heard on Steve Lamacq's Radio One Live Show, playing "When Your Eyes Look Like Fire", there's been no looking back - barring the occassional gig in their hometown of Monmouth.
