Well kiddies and bitties, it's been awhile for us. We've seen friends and foes come and go, watched and contemplated many an allston sunrise, and all gotten AIDS. The departure of Al and his role of bucket smashing left us in a contemplative hiatus.
What would we do, where would we go? We sampled tens of thousands of the worlds most reknown percussive time-keepers and were repeatedly left dismayed. Until one day, while pillaging the decrepit streets of fitchburg in search of shameless mischief and mayhem, we happened upon a young straggler in search of some spare change that could fuel his crack-cocaine addiction. we kicked him in the face, and then found mike allen standing nearby watching with seemingly no other purpose in this story. wanting a piece of the action, allen helped himself to a bit of the crackhead stomping and what we saw would forever change the course of our history as musicians.
"ilya, do you see that?? he's...he's doin the swivel technique on that there crackheads brow!" so we gently yet firmly grabbed him by the collar and dragged him to the nearest gigantic abandoned warehouse we could find for observation, and what he discovered was no surprise. gravity blasts at 310 BPM. and with that, abc 2.0 was born.
