The members of the Atmos Trio - Rob Michael, Joe Shotwell, and Drew Waters - established the band in 2004, after working with other musical projects in a variety of musical styles. The band's self-description of its music style states that it is "combining singable melodies usually associated with 'pop' music, unexpected harmonic and tonal shifts of moderns jazz and World textures." They have played throughout the Napa/Sonoma wine country, and have also performed for various corporate clients and at festivals.
