Asvalt

Asvalt is a Post-Punk Industrial Avant-Garde Metal band from the Dutch city of Nijmegen. The band consists of guitarist Herr Kets, percusionist Lord Unholy Magic Attack, vocalist Sans-Culotte, drummer Jean Meuse and guest Kebabfundamentalist. After a few years of hanging around the three founding members of this band decided to come together and make some noise. Within in one day the first single Heavy Fight was recorded and released through MySpace.

The single got some good reactions from several crowds, which resulted in a great anticipation for the next single which was released in the spring of 2009. The single Lonesome soul wasn't as succesful as the first one, but did manage to get some great reviews from critics. They hailed the guitarparts, Lord Unholy Magic Attack's backing vocals and the narrative story. Asvalt is currently working on an album, which is going to contain the two singles, and is thinking about touring the country or even Europe.

The band is directly influenced by the German band Einstürzende Neubauten, the metalheads from Type O Negative, the great singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and legend Nick Cave.
