Asita Hamidis Bazaar

In 1996 the Iranian harpist Asita Hamidi founded her band 'Bazaar' in Switzerland; at the same time, Björn Meyer's trio 'Bazar Blå' was formed in Sweden. When the two musicians first met during a concert, the names of their respective bands proved to be just one of many parallels. However, of much greater importance was the closeness of their musical ideas – and this would lead to their creating 'Bazaarpool', an artists' network that for over five years has represented outstanding world music projects.
