The Anton Pann group wishes to rediscover and promote old Romanian music since medieval period to the end of 19th century (this songs have never been sung), and enhance the value of Romanian musical tradition by trying to play as close to the musical ethos of the time. The orchestra's repertoire is varied, including the authors like: Dimitrie Cantemir, George Ucenescu, Anton Pann, Ioan Caianu as from unknown volumes like: Codex Moldavae and Codex Valahae, as well as Western and Eastern medieval songs.
