Antiutopia

Antiutopia is a Finnish rock band, founded by singer-songwriter Lanska and drummer Juhana Puronen in Kouvola in late 2007. Later they recruited Jesse Rautavuori as bass player and Pasi Pöljö as lead guitarist. Rautavuori was replaced by Nicolas "Holisti" Hynninen in July 2008. Antiutopia played their first gig on October 11th 2008 and released their first EP, titled Häviö in January 2009. As of 2009, the band consists of Lanska (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Pasi (lead guitar, backing vocals), Holisti (bass) and Juhana (drums).

As of 2009, the band consists of Lanska (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Pasi (lead guitar, backing vocals), Holisti (bass) and Juhana (drums). The band's particular combination of punk and indie rock can be described as the "Kouvola sound". Antiutopia's early songs were often politically charged and criticized society and popular culture, whereas the newer material has taken a more poetic, artistic look and the sound has evolved to a more heavy rock direction.
