Antônia is a Brazilian movie directed by Tata Amaral (2007). It's about the reality of 4 women living in a poor neighborhood of São Paulo - the biggest Brazilian city known by its social contrasts - Preta (Negra Li), Barbarah (Leilah Moreno), Mayah (Quelynah) and Lena (Cindy). These old friends decided to create a group called "Antônia". However they had to deal with violence on their community and machismo on hip-hop culture and they try to survive doing what they love: singing.
