- begun writing at three, drawing at five and saw his first political cartoon "Soy Libre" published on a newspaper at age eleven.
-While in High School, Andres won the Colombian Ministry of Culture Individual Creation Prize in Graphic Arts with his graphic novel Vana Espuma.
- Upon high school graduation Andres wrote "Azul de Noche", a quintet performed by members of the Manizales Chamber Orchestra.

It's conductor, lead violinist Gillermo Gomez, would go on to perform with Andres on the compositions and live multimedia projects Andres created during his college years. -In the late nineties, Andres also scored documentaries and in the course of a week wrote, directed, edited and scored Vana Espuma, a film with a 100 dollar budget which won the Best Fiction Film, Best screenplay and Best actress South American Cesar awards, along with other nominations for Andres for Best Actor and Best Music. - After graduating as a visual designer from the Universidad de Caldas, Andres moved to Los Angeles, California.
