Romanian folk and pop icon (1946-1992), born in Bucharest, also an actress (theatre & film). Her musical beginnings date back to 1965, when she was invited to sing with a local Bucharest rock'n'roll band. Later on she played pop music with Dan Tufaru and Florian Pittis; the later introduced her to folk music and to the Flower Power generation.
