Anchorhead is a British death metal band that has made the classic Star Wars Soundtracks into death metal shred-fests. Stating a number of influences, Anchorhead have blended classic and technical death metal with classic melodies and themes from the Original Star Wars trilogy written by John Williams. Their name comes from a place on Tatooine from A New Hope. They have made four songs to date, which can be found at http://www.myspace.com/anchorheaddarthmetal

On Saturday 14th of July, Anchorhead played their first gig at the Star Wars Celebration Europe Cantina where were voted the 'Official Celebration Europe Cantina Band 2007'.
