He had his first serious encounter with music during a fever rush, listening to Classical music which made him notice the relativity of things for the first time. That happened at the age of 8 years.

He had his first serious encounter with music during a fever rush, listening to Classical music which made him notice the relativity of things for the first time. That happened at the age of 8 years. His somewhat involuntary cello instruction did not avail but his passion for music found its ways at the age of 16 when he played songs of Nirvana on his guitar.

However his dream of becoming an international rockstar did not come true. But there also was this passion for minimal music à la Steve Reich and the fascination for electronic sounds. Thus he went on his journey to find his vision of music, which he couldn't find for two years until he was priviledged to experience a premium DJ-Set by Sven Väth in 1995. This was his crucial experience and Gabriel Ananda began experimenting in electronic sounds. Two years later he had his first release on the German Label Hörspielmusik followed by several 12" releases on imprints like Trapez, Utils, Substatic and last but not least Karmarouge Records. --- 3) Ananda are a group of male singers and musicians based in various locations around Great Britain.

They arrange the beautiful and haunting melodies of Sri Chinmoy’s music for guitar, harmonium, bouzouki, flute, keyboard, percussion and voice. All the songs have a meditative quality which they try to express this quality whilst performing. Most of the songs sung are in Bengali which is a language renowned for its poetic beauty. Other songs are in Sanskrit or English. ------ 4.

Ananda artists associated with the July 2010 release "Still Waters" is a piano violin duo based in Rock Hill, SC. Pianist composer PJ Brunson and violinist arranger Laurie Neal formed the duo in 2009. Brunson is also an award-winning singer songwriter and guitarist who has performed on the folk circuit for years. Laurie Neal is an established church musician, wedding musician, teacher and former member of the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra.
