Amidst The Chaos is a metal band from Mumbai, India. Due to the members' varied individual influences, the genre is a crossbreed between metalcore, modern thrash and math. Noticeable aspects of their music are the vocals : tardily alternating from mellow to downright guttural, uninterrupted onslaught of groove based crunchy riffs, intros semi-sated with stochastic Japanese musings, et cetera. Amidst The Chaos released their EP, 'Catharsis' in the Split CD 'Fine Tuned Disasters' (Demonstealer records) in 2006 and have also featured in the compilation A.

Renowned now for their intense live performances, the band has toured all over the country. They were recently crowned the winners of India's premier College Rock Festival, Livewire[Mood Indigo,IIT-Bombay] Myriad line-up changes later, Amidst The Chaos now consists of : Aditya (Guitars), Sunneith (Vocals), Anshul (Drums) and Venky (Bass).
