Alosza Awdiejew is perhaps best known for his collaboration with the Cracovian cabaret outfit “Piwnica pod Baranami” where he sang Russian romances, ballads, folk tunes as well as compositions by Włodzimierz Wysocki and Aleksander Wertyński. He continues to promote Jewish humour and Odessa folk art with popular performances on stage, Polish radio and television, often accompanied by guitarists Kazimierz Adamczyk (bass) and Marek Piątek (classical guitar). Born in Russia’s Northern Caucasus region, Alosza has been residing in Poland for over 30 years.
