Formed in 2001 by Paul Thomsen Kirk, an ex-pat Scotsman/long-term resident of Japan. AKATOMBO is an audio/visual project which, to date, has released two full-length CD albums, “trace elements” on the London-based SWIM~label (wm24), curated by Colin Newman,(Wire/Githead), & Malka Spigel, (Minimal Compact/Githead); and the most recent audio/visual extravaganza , “Unconfirmed Reports”, Hand-Held Recordings, (HHR 01)...
