Afrikanboy was born the 28th March 1989 as Olushola Ajose. He hales from London, England, but originally comes from Nigeria. His MC-style is somewhere between Grime, HipHop and Afrobeat. What makes him different from all the other artist is his funny yet critical approach to political topics such as immigration and visa problems. His interest in music started at early age. The main influential artists that he took a shine to were, Fela, Style Plus, Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, M.I.A and Yvone Chaka Chaka, SHINA PETERS, KING SUNNY ADE, WASIU

The main influential artists that he took a shine to were, Fela, Style Plus, Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, M.I.A and Yvone Chaka Chaka, SHINA PETERS, KING SUNNY ADE, WASIU He believes in Being DIFFERENT and Standing up for what he believes no matter what the government or public think, Life experience of him and his family help to inspire him to talk about such things as Visa Problems and immigration difficulties, Which in essence captures life behind the Grime and violence that most people seem to have a picture of, Young Afrikanboy has Featured on M.I.A's most anticipated album Kala Which featured tracks produced by Diplo, Blackstar and the man of the moment Timbaland in which he featured on the album as well. Whilst Being on tour with M.I.A he has opened shows for artists such as BJÖRK and PRINCE. Although he is doing very well in the music scene right now he is currently in his first year of University Studying for his Bachelor degree in Psychology. Afrikanboy is set to release his Video Which is set to hit MTV before the new year. This is surely a great start to his young and vibrant career.
