One of the most successful songwriters in Switzerland, Lovebugs’ singer Adrian Sieber, has appropriately named his solo project ADRIAN SOLO. Hardly anyone has landed as often in the charts as he has; hardly anyone has written more hits and none have remained so unfathomable. That’s why this shy and quiet singer preferred to let his songs speak for him rather than projecting himself into the limelight.

After 14 years of consistent success with the Lovebugs, Adrian was able to fulfil a long-standing dream for himself and released his debut solo album ADRIAN SOLO (29.2.2008) under the same name. He played every instrument himself on each and every one of the twelve songs appearing on the album, thus making his dream a reality. His solo-material has evolved and matured over the years: at home at night on his desk, on his old Casio keys, with a guitar in his hand or even in a dream.

The multi-instrumentalist concluded his works by withdrawing into a remote recording studio in the French side of Switzerland, bringing his solo project into fruition in just two sessions. These twelve treasures reflect Sieber’s musical roots, which lie firmly in the early 80s. An assembly of analogue synthesisers, string machines and beatboxes combined with the modern technology of the present day, form an utterly penetrating masterpiece. ADRIAN SOLO is an intriguing and successful combination of alternative pop and new-wave, coupled with acoustic and electronic elements. ADRIAN SOLO is the reflection of the man responsible for the fruition and ongoing success of the Lovebugs. This is the album that Adrian Sieber always dreamt of writing.
