'Adhare Opshori' is the debut album from the band Adhar containing 11 numbers and, all of them are rock based with some songs that can be better described as 'East Meets West'. Believe me, from the very beginning of the CD, you will be able to find a difference between Adhar and all the other local bands present in our country. Sounds interesting? Well, actually, the songs they performed in this debut CD maybe new in our country's perspective but almost all the music lovers of our country are familiar with this kind of rock fusion.

Believe me, from the very beginning of the CD, you will be able to find a difference between Adhar and all the other local bands present in our country. Sounds interesting? Well, actually, the songs they performed in this debut CD maybe new in our country's perspective but almost all the music lovers of our country are familiar with this kind of rock fusion. The beginning track 'Amar Antor' is a rock fusion and, to be frank, is an alternative hard rock fusion with Indian classical (Indo-Bangla) touches. The beginning is with a heavy guitar rhythm that continues throughout the song.

But, the interesting feature is that the main vocal work tends to seem like pop. There are several ups and downs. A great piece to start the journey through… 'Tomar Akash', 'Aag Neshay' and 'Kare Neyna' are also fusions but in all the cases the range of fusion is mainly restricted to the vocal rather than the usage of eastern instruments. Starting with the haunting sound of an Indian flute, 'Tomar Akash' is an impressive rock and R&B fusion.

On the other hand 'Aag Neshay' is a psychedelic rock with a classical accompaniment. In case of instrumentation and musical arrangement the best piece in this album is 'Kare Neyna'. Based on simple romantic notes, this rudimentary psychedelic rock and Indian classical fusion is the apotheosis of musicians at work. No other song in this album presents the combination of Nopel and Tomal's voice in such a striking way.

And, talking about the percussion of the track??? Simply mind blowing… 'Akta Din' is totally an alternative romantic track and is accompanied by a synthesised vocal chorus. Like all other local alternative pieces in our local music this number also tends to surf on soft tune and, suddenly, reaches the crescendo. The next is 'Obhiman', a soft rock piece, but to be honest, the romantic lyrics here is nothing but dull and mediocre and obviously, clichéd. However, the composition is attractive and particularly the guitar work accentuates this song. What else? There are other songs to make this CD worth buying.

The album's title song 'Adhare Opshori' is a soft rock and the acoustic instrumentation is very catchy. One thing is evident that the group members tried to retain a classical rock touch throughout their works.
