There are at least two bands or artists under this name: 1) An English Metal Band (also shown as -AR-) 2) A Japanese band. 1) -AR- (www.myspace.com/arworld) Fashioned by the unremitting horror that pervades Cambridge and the surrounding areas AR is a four piece Metal band that brooks no compromise. Heavy, loud and ironclad they have been under a self-imposed confinement for two years, during which time they have been grinding fragmentary lyrics and shattered riffs into a taught, dynamic set.

Now at last they are ready to expose the creation that they have been working relentlessly to sculpt, and are preparing to unleash themselves on the circuit once more. Refreshed, remodeled and revised… AR are back and better than ever before. 2) Ar (アル), are Atsushi Kubo, Yoshitaka Fujimoto, and Tsubasa Ohta. Ar were formed in 2003, and have released 1 mini album and 3 full albums to date.
