APPD

APPD (Anarchistische Pogo Partei Deutschlands - Anarchistic Pogo Party of Germany) is a German party which was founded in 1981 by two Punks in Hannover. It's the self-declared party of the Pöbel (mob)and "social parasites". The APPD was the first German party to propagate the idea of guaranteed minimum income, with its idea of a "youth pension", long before this concept entered the realm of mainstream political discussion.

The APPD was the first German party to propagate the idea of guaranteed minimum income, with its idea of a "youth pension", long before this concept entered the realm of mainstream political discussion. It took part in the 1998 and 2005 elections of the German Bundestag. In 2005 APPD had a Chancelor-candidate: No one less than Wolfgang Wendland, lead singer of the band "Die Kassierer" (or: "Die Arschgefickten Gummifotzen"). The party shocked many German tv-watchers showing a scandalous election spot on prime-time (Famous video on Youtube!) which was prohibited after two weeks. However, the APPD wasn't able to reach more than 0,2% of the votes. The party was lately split into two parties, the APPD and the "POP", after a self-declared (internet-)war in 2005.
