Javier Álvarez a.k.a. Above Smoke, producer from Madrid proprietary and responsible of the sound quality of the underground label Deep Explorer music (mastering, mix and additional production). Usual collaborator in other labels like Bucketround, Signs of Authority or Sybaris with tracks, remixes or production labours. His beginning in the production area starts in 2000. In his firsts steps, Above was involved in the instrumental hip hop scene, always full of ,many elements from the jazz, the soul but later he lets his mind open to other styles like minimal, house, electro or broken beats.

An example of this is his first maxi Hysteria ep (Deep Explorer 004) edited in may of 2005. Various remixes and some tracks later, Above edits with Dubbyman his best work until today.

..Jazz pollution ep Sybaris recordings, a division of Deep Explorer label created exclusively to edit the tracks that represent the most relaxed part of Detroit sound. The name of the label takes his name from the club where they play every week. In this days he had a new ep edited (Divine radiation ep), the forth reference in the label Signs of Authority and is near to finish the next reference on Deep Explorer, a vocal track featured by Marvin Belton and the remixes of Scott Fergusson the owner of the american label Ferrispark.
