A.O.D stands for Altars of Destruction. One of the very first thrash metal bands in Finnish metal scene. They formed in 1986 in Kauhajoki, Finland and released their first demo in 1988. EP named Painful Awakening came out the next year. The band split in 1989, but reformed in 2007. In 2001 A.O.D released a compilation called AnnODomini, which has all songs from the demo and the EP. A.O.D has never signed to a record label. Current line-up:
