美勇伝

美勇伝 (v-u-den; alternatively Biyuuden, viyuden, etc) was a Hello! Project unit, a Japanese pop group formed in August 2004. The group was lead by morning musume member Rika Ishikawa (石川梨華), as a new project to focus on after her Morning Musume graduation. She was joined by Hello! Project Egg Yui Okada (岡田唯) and audition winner Erika Miyoshi (三好絵梨香). The name 美勇伝 is made up of the characters for beauty (bi; 美), bravery (yuu; 勇), and legend (den; 伝). It has been romanized many ways, but "v-u-den" eventually became the most constant.
