A solo project by Yuka Kurihara, a Bristol-based Japanese female singer song writer
who also sings for the post-rock band This Is My Normal State and the electronic duo Melodique. Yuka's music career began at the age of 5 when she learnt the cello. In her late teenage, she started singing in a trip-hop band in Tokyo,which would later be a trigger for her to settle
in Bristol UK in 2006. In 2008,she began creating music as her solo project uka. in August 2011, üka’s debut album "Lullaby for the Evil" was released on Kilk Records (Japan).
